Previous Time Around – Last spring, Arizona swept the Cougars 4-0 at home, defeating them for the first time in three years. The ‘Cats clinched after winning the doubles point and three singles matches. In their last matchup with the Huskies, the Wildcats fell 3-4, dropping the doubles point and three singles matches. 

ITA Ranks – The Wildcats jumped three spots in the rankings, from #60 to #57 after their win against Pennsylvania over spring break on March, 9. WSU dropped from the ITA top 75 this week after suffering their first two conference losses against #31 UCLA and #36 USC. Washington moved up four spots from #25 to #21 after victories against UCLA and USC. The Huskies have four ranked individuals and one ranked doubles duo: #77 Astrid Olsen, #105 Sarah-Maude Fortin, #110 Hiraku Sato, #120 Jennifer Kerr and #65 Sato and Zehra Suko.

What’s Next – Women’s Tennis remains on the road for two more matches after their trip to Washington. The Wildcats take on #15 Stanford on Friday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m. MT in Stanford, Calif., followed by a match in Berkeley, Calif. against #52 Cal.
