Women's Tennis Continues Big Ten Play Against Rutgers and Maryland


UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women’s tennis team will continue Big Ten play at home on Friday against No. 73 Rutgers at 3 p.m. and Sunday against No. 49 Maryland at noon.
 
The match against Rutgers in the Pink Game to bring awareness for those affected by breast cancer. 
 
Sunday’s match against Maryland will feature an egg hunt to wins prizes.

LAST TIME OUT
 
The Nittany Lions collected a 4-1 win over Indiana. Yvonne Zuffova clinched the match for her team. 
 
The Blue and White also grabbed the doubles point and Sofiya Chekhlystova and Alina Lebedeva won their singles matches.

The No. 73 Rutgers women’s tennis team is 10-6 on the season. The team is 1-4 in Big Ten play. 
 
The Scarlet Knights last match was a 4-0 loss against No. 2 Michigan.

The No. 49 Maryland women’s tennis team is 11-7 on the season and 2-3 in Big Ten play.
