Virginia Men's Tennis | Gamecock Ranked +1

COLUMBIA, S.C. –  Six members of the Virginia men’s tennis team are competing as individuals at the Gamecock Ranked +1 tournament, being held Sept. Sept. 15-17 in Columbia, S.C.

Jeffrey von der Schulenburg won two matches in the A singles bracket to advance. Alexander Kiefer won his first match in the B bracket but dropped his second. Edoardo Graziani lost his B bracket opener, but won a back draw match.

Douglas Yaffa, James Hopper and Stafan Regalia are playing in the C draw, which is round-robin play instead of a traditional bracket. Yaffa and Hopper both won two matches on Friday.

The Cavaliers are competing against players from Arizona, Auburn, Columbia, Duke, Michigan State, North Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest.

Play begins each day at 9:00am with waves to follow at 10:30am, 1:00pm, and 2:30pm.  Saturday will be two rounds of doubles and one round of singles. Sunday will wrap up with the final round of doubles and singles.

Court video streams will be available for the tournament, but not live scoring.
