No. 25 Women’s Tennis Opens Spring Slate This Weekend – Women's Tennis — Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

THE FLATS – The 25th-ranked Georgia Tech women’s tennis is set to open the spring slate of the 2023 schedule this weekend, taking part in the Carolina Kickoff, hosted by the University of South Carolina. The tournament will run Friday, Jan. 13-Sunday, Jan. 15.

TOURNAMENT CENTRAL | LIVE STREAM | LIVE SCORING

Featuring Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, and host South Carolina, the invite will be played indoors at the Carolina Indoor Tennis Center. Each team will play three singles and three doubles sessions on the weekend.

Action gets underway for Georgia Tech with singles on Friday beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by doubles at 1 p.m. Saturday action opens with singles at 10 a.m. and doubles at 12:30 p.m. The tournament concludes on Sunday with Georgia Tech having the morning session beginning at 9 a.m. Admission is free to the tournament. Matches will also be streamed through Track Tennis.

Seven Yellow Jackets will see action this weekend: Kylie Bilchev, Alejandra Cruz, Rosie Garcia Gross, Mahak Jain, Carol Lee, Ruth Marsh and Kate Sharabura. In the final individual rankings released in the fall, four Jackets led the way in singles.

Georgia Tech was one of six teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference ranked in the ITA preseason rankings released Jan. 4. Wake Forest appeared just outside the top 25 and is receiving votes in the poll.
