Men's Tennis Secures Four Singles Wins on Day 2 of Gator Fall Invite


Three of Florida’s wins came in straight sets.

Florida men’s tennis had a dominant performance in singles action on Saturday, winning four of five singles matches on Day 2 of the Gator Fall Invite at Linder Stadium at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
 
Olek Orlikowski and Nate Bonetto both posted efficient straight-sets victories to start the winning trend. Freshman Aidan Kim snagged a first-set tiebreaker, 8-6, then settled in to finish off Stewart Aronson in two, 7-6(6), 6-3, capping the match with a winner at the net.
 
JanMagnus Johnson grabbed his 10th win of the Fall season with a three-set victory vs. Noa Vukadin. Tanapatt Nirundorn put forth a valiant effort in his second three-set match of the event, rallying from a set down and later from down a break in the third before falling 7-5 in the decisive set vs. Trey Stinchcomb.
 
Florida returns to action at noon on Sunday for the final competition day on the Fall calendar. Florida and UCF will be paired up in Sunday’s round-robin action.
