BATON ROUGE, La. – The sixth-ranked and No. 2 seed Tennessee men’s tennis team is set to begin postseason play Friday at 3 p.m. ET (2 CT), facing 25th-ranked and No. 7 seed Florida in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals, hosted by LSU at the LSU Tennis Complex.

LAST TIME OUT
Tennessee narrowly fell to No. 4 Kentucky, 4-3, in Lexington on Sunday, claiming a second-place finish in the SEC standings.
 
SCOUTING FLORIDA
UT defeated the Gators, 6-1, at home on March 10, winning the doubles point and five singles courts. UF’s Jeremy Jin, ranked 52nd in singles, registered a 4-6 conference record this season atop the lineup. Aidam Kim, primarily playing at the No. 2 spot, notched a 7-5 mark in SEC play.
 
Florida took down 10th-seeded Vanderbilt, 4-2, in the second round of the SEC Tournament Thursday, posting wins on four singles courts.

Johannus Monday and Angel Diaz hold a 9-2 record against ranked opponents this season, including an impressive 3-0 mark against those residing in the top 10. The duo boasts a 16-4 record in 2024 and finished conference play with a 9-3 mark playing at the No. 1 spot.
 
JO MOMENTUM
Johannus Monday has built a 21-2 dual match record this season and is the highest-ranked SEC player, standing second nationally in the latest ITA rankings. The reigning SEC Player of the Year posted a stellar 10-0 conference record in 2024 atop the lineup. The senior is 15-1 against ranked opponents this season and boasts a .808 career winning percentage.
