Men’s Tennis Announces 2023 Spring Schedule – Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis announced its 2023 spring schedule on Monday and the Yellow Jackets are set to host their home opener versus Furman on Saturday, Jan. 14. This season’s schedule is highlighted by 16 home matches, including three doubleheaders, at Ken Byers Tennis Complex.

Tech begins its season with five-straight home matches. After their home opener versus Furman, the Jackets will host doubleheaders against Presbyterian College (Jan. 19) and Wofford College/Alabama State (Jan. 22) before heading to Stanford for the ITA Kickoff weekend (Jan. 29-30).

In the first week of February, the Jackets will return for a matchup with cross-town rival Georgia State (Feb. 3) and then hit the road for a Sunday match with Auburn (Feb. 5). After Auburn, Tech will play three-straight home matches, including in-state foe Georgia, before heading to the ITA National Indoors in Champaign County, Ill. (Feb. 20).

Following a pair of non-conference matches, the Jackets start ACC competition at the beginning of March. Tech will play six conference matches at home, starting with Wake Forest (March 3) and NC State (March 5). The Jackets will also host North Carolina (March 24), Duke (March 26), Louisville (April 7) and Notre Dame (April 9).

Georgia Tech’s first league matches on the road are Clemson (March 15) and Boston College (March 19). The White and Gold will spend a weekend in Florida as they face off with Florida State (March 31) and Miami (April 2). The Jackets conclude regular season competition at Virginia Tech (April 14) and Virginia (April 16).

The ACC Championships will take place in Cary, N.C. from Wednesday, April 19 to Sunday, April 23. The NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships will begin with the first two rounds of competition on May 5-6 and continue with Super Regionals for the final 16 teams on either May 12 or 13. The NCAA team finals along with the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships will be played at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. from May 17-27.
