EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women’s tennis team, ranked No. 47 in the latest ITA rankings, is set for its first home Pac-12 weekend, as the Ducks host Colorado Friday and No. 50 Utah Sunday at the Student Tennis Center.

The Ducks split a pair of matches in the desert to open their Pac-12 slate, taking down then-No. 43 Arizona, 4-1, before falling to No. 25 Arizona State, 4-0. UO has won six of its last eight matches overall and boast a 6-1 home record this season.
The doubles tandem of Jo-Yee Chan and Ares Teixido Garcia remained perfect this season and extended their unbeaten streak to nine straight, playing primarily at the No. 2 position. The Ducks’ top pair of Sophie Luescher and Uxia Martinez Moral are 6-4 this spring after going 1-1 against the Arizona schools.
Oregon has claimed the doubles point in all eight of its dual-match wins this season.
On the singles side, Chan is currently riding a team-best seven-match winning streak, as the freshman is 8-1 in her initial collegiate campaign. Martinez Moral has won seven of her last eight singles matches and leads UO with nine singles wins (9-2), playing primarily at the No. 4 spot in the lineup.
Teixido Garcia, who has played the last eight matches at the No. 2 position, is 7-4 and has been victorious in five of her last seven contests.
Colorado and Utah both opened the conference schedule at home, as the Buffaloes fell 6-1 to 13th-ranked Stanford and 4-3 to No. 55 California. The Utes got by the Golden Bears, 4-3, before beating defeated by the Cardinal, 5-2.
CU is led by Antonia Belzert, who is 8-4 at the No. 1 spot in the lineup and Aya El Sayed is 8-1 from the fourth position. The duo is 4-5 in the dual season at the top doubles position.
Utah’s Marcela Lopez owns a team-best 10 singles wins, including a 7-0 record at court five. Samantha Horwood is 9-1 this spring, primarily at No. 6, while…
