Cornut-Chauvinc And Dous-Karpenschif End Season in NCAA Doubles Tournament

ORLANDO – Florida State’s doubles pair of Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif fell to Penn’s Edoardo Grazini and Kevin Zhu in two sets 6-4, 6-4 in the first round of the NCAA Doubles Tournament on Wednesday. 

After rain delays postponed the match originally scheduled for Tuesday evening, the match was rescheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. 

After rallying from a 2-0 firstset deficit and tying the set at 2-2, Grazini and Zhu won the first set 6-4.

Cornut-Chauvinc and Dous-Karpenschif took an early 1-0 lead after winning the first game in the second set. With the match tied at 4-4, Cornut-Chauvinc and Dous-Karpenschif were two games away from forcing a third set. 

Grazini and Zhu clinched the win and will advance to the second round of the NCAA Doubles Tournament after a 6-4 secondset victory. 

Cornut-Chauvinc and Dous-Karpenschif played 14 matches together this spring, posting a 10-4 record and a 4-2 record over nationally ranked doubles teams.
