Women’s Tennis Host Season-Opening Doubleheader Against ETSU and North Alabama


OXFORD, Miss – Ole Miss women’s tennis compete for the first time this season at home in William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center.

 

The Rebels will face both ETSU and North Alabama in a doubleheader on Sunday, January 22 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The doubleheader starts a five-match home stand during the month.

THE REBELS

Lillian Gabrielsen (Sr.) – Oslo, Norway

  • A 14-10 singles record and 21-13 doubles record during the 2021-22 season
  • This fall she went 8-6 in tournament play including making into the ITA Fall National Championships in singles as the South Region runner-up
  • Reached the round of 16 in doubles at the ITA South Region Championships in 2021

Ludmila Kareisova (So.) – Liberec, Czechia

  • Has a 4-5 singles record and 3-4 doubles record
  • Earned an overall record 12-12 in singles and 16-11 in doubles last season
  • ITA South Region Championships doubles runner-up which earned her a spot in the ITA National Championship in 2021

Emma Kette (Fr.) – R, Germany

  • Joined the squad this January
  • Coming in with an overall singles record of 12-9

Rachel Krzyzak (So.) – Milton, Ontario Canada

  • Has a 1-5 singles and doubles record
  • Compiled an 18-11 singles record and 15-15 doubles record during the 2021-22 season

Anaelle Leclercq-Ficher (So.) – La Perche, France

  • Has a 1-5 singles record and a 1-3 doubles record
  • Tallied a record of 13-11 in singles and doubles record of 15-14 last season
  • Reached doubles quarterfinals of ITA South Region Championships in 2021
  • Voted SEC Freshman of the Year on march 2, 2021

Kelsey Mize (Sr.*) – Tulsa, Okla.

  • Has an 8-5 singles record and a 4-6 doubles record
  • Went 4-3 in singles and 11-18 in doubles during the 2021-22 season
  • ITA South Region Championships doubles runner-up in 2021, advanced to ITA Fall Nationals Championships

Reka Zadori (Jr.) – Szeged, Hungary

  • Has a 7-8 singles record and a 3-5 doubles record
  • Earned a 12-13 overall singles record and 10-4 doubles record in 2021-22
  • Made it to the singles quarterfinals of the ITA South Region Championships in 2021
