Opening Serve: The Vanderbilt women’s tennis team will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, to compete in the ITA Regional Championships.

Competing Schools: Vanderbilt, Austin Peay, Ball State, Belmont, Butler, Cincinnati, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, ETSU, Indiana, IUPUI, Kentucky, Lipscomb, Louisville, Miami Ohio, Memphis, MTSU, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Purdue, Tennessee, Tennessee State, Chattanooga, Xavier

About the Commodores: The Commodores feature three student-athletes ranked in the ITA Preseason Top 125 for singles – Anna Ross (No. 40), Holly Staff (No. 64) and Anessa Lee (No. 76). In doubles, the pairing of Ross and Staff earned a preseason ranking of No. 7.

Last Time Out: At the June Stewart Invitational, the Dores hosted Purdue, Illinois and Missouri. The team went 3-0 in doubles matches against Purdue, and picked up four singles wins versus Missouri. The match saw continued standout efforts from freshman Bridget Stammel and Sonya Macavei, who both had straight-set wins.

Up Next: The Vanderbilt women’s tennis team will travel to San Juan, P.R. to compete in the San Juan Invitational from Oct. 28-30.
