USC Women’s Tennis Blanks Buffaloes 4-0

LOS ANGLES – The USC women’s tennis team defeated Pac-12 rival Colorado 4-0 to kick off a doubleheader at Marks Stadium on Saturday, April 1. 
 
The Women of Troy got out to an early lead after claiming the doubles point. Trojans Emma Charney and Nathalie Rodilosso teamed up to defeat the Buffalo duo of Tokac/Puzak with a 6-2 decision on court three. Next the No. 26 ranked duo of Maddy Sieg and Eryn Cayetano won 6-3 on court two, beating Ventura/Stanojevic to haul in the doubles point. No. 33 Snow Han and Naomi Cheong led 5-3 on center court when play was paused. 
 
USC continued their hot streak in singles with the Trojans winning three consecutive singles matches. Freshman #5 Maddy Sieg defeated Antonia Balzert with a swift 6-0, 6-1 decision on center court. #35 Eryn Cayetano would win next, beating Mila Stanojevic 6-2, 6-1 on court three. The match was won on court three as No. 83 Snow Han recorded a 7-5, 6-0 win oover Elys Ventura. Remaining matches were suspended.
 
USC is back in action this afternoon against Pomona-Pitzer at 4 p.m.
