PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women’s tennis head coach Hilary Ritchie, announced the 2025 spring campaign Friday afternoon. The Scarlet Knights will play a total of 21 matches in the spring slate, 11 at home and 10 on the road.
“We have a very strong schedule this spring,” said Ritchie. “We’re looking forward to starting the season against in-state rival Princeton. It will be exciting to host Oregon and Washington on their first weekend of Big Ten conference play as new members. This schedule provides great opportunities for our team.”
All home indoor matches will be played at the East Brunswick Racquet Club in East Brunswick, N.J. Once the weather permits, the Scarlet Knights will move outdoors to the Livingston Tennis Center in Piscataway, N.J.
Rutgers kicks off the spring season right down the road at Princeton on January 19. The team will then host its first home match against LIU on January 24. They will stay home and close out the first month of the year versus NJIT. Both matches will start at 12 p.m.
February brings on five more nonconference contests, two at home and three on the road. RU will trek down to the Delaware on February 2 at 2 p.m. to take on the Blue Hens before returning home later that week to face St. John’s on February 7. The Scarlet Knights will have a week to prepare for another Ivy League foe when take on Yale on February 16 (12 p.m.). The following week, the Scarlet Knights will return home to take on UMass with a 4 p.m. start time (February 22) and end their nonconference slate against Army up at West Point, N.Y. on February 28 (1 p.m.)
Rutgers will start Big Ten play in the beginning of March, welcoming in conference newcomers Oregon and Washington on March 7 and March 8, respectively. Both matches have a scheduled noon start time.
RU will then head to Indiana to take on the Boilermakers and the Hoosiers. The match against Purdue will be on March 14 (1 p.m.) and before traveling to Indiana on March 16 (11 a.m.)
The Scarlet Knights will come back “On The Banks” to face off against Penn State (March 22) and Ohio State (March 23). Both matches will start at noon.
To wrap up March, Rutgers will travel to Minnesota and Wisconsin, competing against the Golden Gophers on March 28 at 3 p.m. ET and the Badgers on March 30 at 12 p.m. ET.
