Tara Katarina Milic - 5 Questions

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Sophomore Tara Katarina Milic rounds out the class of 2025 for the Purdue women’s tennis team. Milic recorded six doubles wins in fall events, one of which was over an ITA ranked team. She also added five singles wins to her already impressive career tally. Purdue Athletics sat down with Milic to ask her five questions.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Purdue?

A: About Purdue? I really like the balance that I get here because we have really good academics and the athletic department is on a high level too. That was something I was really looking for when I was deciding which school I was gonna go to.

Q: What is your favorite place you’ve ever played tennis?

A: I think I’ll say the Florida Tournament we go to every fall. We just came from that tournament a few days ago and I really love the environment there and we usually do well and we have fun, so I would say Florida.

Q: If you weren’t playing tennis, what sport would you play?

A: I would say volleyball because that’s usually a guess when people guess what sport I play since I’m tall. But I really like how the team usually works on the volleyball court. They cheer for each other, they scream and it looks like a lot of fun.

Q: Purdue Pete or the Boilermaker Special?

A: I can say Boilermaker Special just because it’s unique and not every school has an actual train going around campus so that would be my answer.

Q: Are you ready for Thanksgiving Break?

A: Yes, I can’t wait to relax a little bit and come back on track with my tennis, with my school and just to have some time off.
