TEMPE – Sun Devil men’s tennis (10-4) pushed Texas Tech to the final singles set Saturday afternoon, but ended up with a 4-3 loss. ASU will play either Oregon or Memphis in the third place match at Kiwanis Tennis Center in Tempe, Sunday, March 12 with time TBD.
Spencer Brachman led the Sun Devils off with a singles win on court six where he defeated his opponent in two sets. Costantinos Koshis followed up with a two set victory to tie the match score 2-2.
Texas Tech regained the lead, but Jacob Bullard battled in a long three sets against his Raider to tie the team score. Bullard would have the last Sun Devil victory on the day as Max McKennon could not finish out the set in his favor.
