Spartan Men’s Tennis Announces Spring 2025 Schedule


EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State men’s tennis has unveiled its Spring 2025 schedule. 

With six returning players and five talented newcomers on the spring roster, the Spartans are ready to make waves this season.

Notable match-ups include pivotal conference clashes with Ohio State and Michigan, alongside high-stakes non-conference contests against nationally ranked teams. The Spartans’ rigorous schedule blends home-court advantage with tough away challenges, preparing them for a strong postseason push.

The spring campaign kicks off on Jan. 17 at the MSU Tennis Center with a marquee match-up against Kentucky. The Spartans will host 11 home matches, welcoming top-tier non-conference opponents including Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Western Michigan and Arizona.

 

Traditional conference rivals Penn State, Ohio State, Northwestern, Illinois and Michigan will also visit East Lansing, along with new Big Ten foes Washington and Oregon, promising thrilling competition on home turf.

On the road, MSU faces 12 away matches against formidable non-conference and Big Ten opponents, including Liberty, TCU/Pacific, Tennessee, Clemson, Boise State and Cornell in non-conference action, along with Wisconsin, Nebraska, Indiana and Purdue on the B1G slate. The Spartans will cap off their road schedule with challenging battles against league newcomers members USC and UCLA.

The season will culminate in the Big Ten Conference Tournament in Columbus, Ohio, April 25-27, a key stepping stone on the path to the NCAA Team Championships.
