Smith and Hoeyeraal Represent Arizona in the Finals for Doubles


San Francisco, Calif.– Arizona earned four more wins in doubles and singles matches as competition continued in San Francisco and Texas.  
 
For day three of Battle in the Bay Colton Smith and Hoeyeraal moved on to represent Arizona in the doubles final after taking down Alex Chang and Carl Emil Overbeck (Berkeley) 8-7. Hoeyeraal added another win as he defeated Lambert Ruland (USD) 7-5, 6-3. 
 
In Texas, Casper Christensen put up the other two wins after dominating in both his singles and doubles matchups. Christensen and Gustaf Strom got the win over USC 8-7(3) advancing to Sunday’s doubles bracket. Christensen continued his momentum earning a singles win against Niroop Vallabhaneni (USC) 6-2, 1-0 by retirement. 
 
The Wildcats will move onto the final day of competition, Sept. 24, representing in both doubles and singles to end the weekend.
