The Italian, who ran the table at the hard court Slams in 2024, is also making a beeline for the ATP’s year-end No.1 ranking. The 23-year-old, who leads No.2-ranked Alexander Zverev by over 5,000 points at the top of the ATP rankings, has won all six finals he has played in 2024. In addition to his two major titles, he has won two Masters 1000 titles and two 500 titles.

Sinner has a lead of 2885 points in the race for year-end No.1.

Zverev is No.2 in the race, with Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev at No.3 and No.4.

Zverev rose two points after the US Open to No.2 in the world, while Novak Djokovic dropped to No.4.

The biggest mover inside the Top 10 was American Taylor Fritz. Fritz moved up five spots from No.12 to No.7 as a result of reaching his maiden Grand Slam final at the US Open.

There are still five Americans in the Top 20, with Tommy Paul (No.13), Sebastian Korda (No15), Frances Tiafoe (No.16) and Ben Shelton (No.17) rounding out the group.

Draper Enters Top 20

Great Britain’s Jack Draper jumps five spots to make his Top 20 debut as a result of reaching his maiden Grand Slam semifinal in New York. The 22-year-old did not drop a set until the semifinals in New York, where he was defeated by Sinner in straight sets.

American Brandon Nakashima, who reached the round of 16 in New York, makes a career-high ranking of No.40. That makes six Americans in the Top 40, and eight in the Top 50.

Belgian players are also making a push after the Open.

David Goffin climbs up 14 spots to No.64, his highest ranking since February of 2023, after reaching round three at the US Open.

Zizou Bergs, who reached the second round at the US Open, hits a career-high ranking of No.72.
