Scarlet Knights Place 196 on Spring Academic All-Big Ten


PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers Athletics placed 196 student-athletes on the Spring 2024 Academic All-Conference on Wednesday to set the Scarlet Knights’ 2023-24 total to 378 honorees, after 53 and 129 were selected in the winter and fall, respectively.

Katie Wingert (softball) and Reanda Richards (women’s track and field) each earned their fifth consecutive honor on the Big Ten academic list. Among the honorees are 12 four-time selections spanning all 10 of Rutgers’ spring sport programs and 45 three-time winners.

Additionally, 16 Scarlet Knights earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students-athletes must have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
