Rain has suspended play at the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers on Thursday, with the action halted at 2:48 p.m. local time.

Third seed Casper Ruud and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut will resume their match in the third set when the rain stops, after the Norwegian clinched the second set to level the match at 6-7(4), 7-6(4) 0-1. Hubert Hurkacz and Albert Ramos-Vinolas are locked in at 5-5 in the first set in Montreal.

Washington champion Nick Kyrgios, Indian Wells titlist Taylor Fritz and home favourite Felix Auger-Aliassime will be in third-round action later on Thursday.
