Series: Oklahoma leads Arizona 4-2
The Wildcats defeated the Sooners in their previous two matchups, this spring at the Blue Gray Tennis Classic and last spring at LaNelle Robson Tennis for the first time ever. It will be their first matchup in program history against Tulsa.

Previously On – Two weeks ago at the Blue Gray Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala., the Wildcats took down the Sooners 4-1 in the semifinals. Despite losing the doubles point, four Wildcats (Smith, Hoeyeraal, Ziverts and Jay Friend) won in singles to solidify the second win ever against Oklahoma. 

ITA Ranks – #17 Arizona remains a top 20 team since the initial ITA Coaches Poll on Jan. 4, 2023. Four ‘Cats remain in the top 125 singles rankings: #45 Jonas Ziverts, #88 Colton Smith, #110 Nick Lagaev and #117 Herman Hoeyeraal. #38 Oklahoma also has four players in the individual ranks: ##71 Nathan Han, #84 Justin Schlageter, #118 Jordan Hasson and #121 Alex Martinez. #56 Tulsa has three players representing them in the ITA ranks, one singles player and one doubles pair: #53 Kody Pearson and #45 Pearson/Connor Di Marco. 

Up Next – After their spring break road trip to Oklahoma, Men’s Tennis enters a bye weekend before opening Pac-12 play on the Golden Coast against #24 Stanford on Friday, March 17 and against #35 California on Sunday, March 19.
