No. 5 USC Drops Consolation Match Versus Duke

NEW YORK CITYNo. 5 (12-seeded) USC men’s tennis (4-4) fell 4-1 in the consolation round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship 4-1 to No. 15 (13-seeded) Duke on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center in New York City. 
 
The Trojans picked up a win by Karl Lee on court five in the match. 
 
USC sophomore Oscar Weightman appeared in his third collegiate singles match. Weightman battled it out with Duke’s Andrew Zhang, going to extra points in the first (set?). Duke produced the game-clinching (third set) match victory on court No. 6.
 
The Trojans will face a TBD opponent in the consolation rounds tomorrow, as the time and location have yet to be determined.
