No. 23 NC State looks to keep rolling versus No. 21 Duke


RALEIGH NC State picked up its biggest win of the season on Friday over No. 13 UNC, now the Wolfpack will look to complete a Triangle sweep.
 
NC State (12-6, 6-1) heads to Durham on Sunday for a 1 pm showdown with No. 21 Duke.
 
The Blue Devils lead the all-time series 74-4, but the Wolfpack has won the last two, including a 4-0 win in Raleigh a year ago. 
 
Last time out: NC State went on the road and knocked off No. 13 UNC, 4-1.The win snapped a two-game losing streak to UNC. It was the first win over a team inside the top 20 this season. The Pack was 0-3 versus teams in the top 20 heading into Friday’s showdown. 
 
Pack in the Rankings:  NC State comes in at No. 23 in the latest ITA Rankings. The doubles duo of Robin Catry and Luca Staeheli were ranked No. 27, while Joe Wayand and Rafa Izquierdo Luque were ranked No. 40. On the singles side Izquierdo Luque is ranked No. 52 and Staeheli came in at No. 73.
 
Scouting the Blue Devils: Duke (14-5, 7-1) is coming off a 4-3 win over Wake Forest. The Blue Devils have one player, Garrett Johns, ranked in the ITA top 20. Johns comes in at No. 17. Andrew Zhang and Michael Heller are ranked No. 54 in the doubles polls. Johns and Pedro Rodenas are ranked No. 71.
