FLUSHING– In Friday’s early morning matchup in the first round of the ITA National Men’s Team Indoor Championship, No. 20 Arizona State Men’s Tennis (5-3) was defeated 4-0 by No. 2 TCU (7-0). The team falls into the consolation bracket, and will play tomorrow, Saturday February 17, while time and opponent are unknown.
Today marked just the second of eight matches that the Sun Devils did not win the doubles point, after the team was 6-1 in the category in the previous seven matches.
TCU swept the first set in all six singles matches, which proved to be too much for the Sun Devils to overcome. At the time of finish, Max McKennon and Bor Artnak had each battled to the third set, while Murphy Cassone was still in the second set.
