No. 19 Illini To Take on No. 1 TCU


FORT WORTH, Texas –No. 19 Illinois will continue its Texas trip, traveling to Fort Worth to play against Texas Christian on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Illini competed against the Horned Frogs last season at home and fell, 2-4. Illinois haven’t beaten TCU since 2018, where the Illini walked away with a 5-2 win at home. 

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION | Baylor (14-0)

Upon his return to Fort Worth, Roditi has led TCU to the top of the intercollegiate tennis world. A top-50 program when he was hired, Roditi has led the team to eight consecutive NCAA Sweet 16 appearances (2015-2022) and guided the program to its first ITA Indoor National Championship in 2022. 

TCU has yet to lose a match and have had three straight shutout wins, including their victory to claim the 2023 ITA National Indoor Tournament on Feb. 20. 

ILLINI IN THE RANKINGS

The Illini found themselves in the No. 17 spot the week after the ITA National Indoor Championships, after beating No. 9 Wake Forest, as well as beating No. 15 Georgia earlier that week. 

Now, Illinois sits at No. 19 after its three-week bye.
