NC State heads to Georgia Tech for second ACC match


RALEIGH The NC State men’s tennis team will remain on the road and look to go 2-0 in the ACC on Sunday.
 
The Pack heads to Atlanta for a noon showdown with the Yellow Jackets. 
 
Georgia Tech leads the all-time series 29-17. NC State won 4-1 last season in Raleigh. 
 
Last time out: NC State won its ACC opener for the fifth straight time, defeating Clemson, 4-0. Georgia Tech (9-6) is coming off a 6-1 loss to Wake Forest. 
 
Pack in the Rankings: Four members of the NC State tennis team are ranked in the latest ITA poll. Rafa Izquierdo Luque is ranked No. 75 in the singles poll. Luque is also ranked in the doubles at No. 39 with partner Joe Wayand. Robin Catry and Luca Staeheli are ranked No. 50. 
 
Scouting the Yellow Jackets: The Yellow Jackets have three individuals in the ITA standings heading into Sunday’s match. Andres Martin (17-5) is ranked No. 34 in the country, Marcus McDaniel (47) and Keshav Chopra (85) round out the individual rankings. Martin and McDaniel are ranked No. 21 in doubles.
