LAKE NONA, Fla. – Two members of the Tennessee men’s tennis team fell in the NCAA Singles Round of 64 Monday afternoon at the USTA National Campus in Florida.

No. 5 overall seed Johannus Monday dropped a three-set match to Virginia Tech’s 47th-ranked Ryan Fishback, 4-6, 6-2, 3-6. Monday logged a 19-4 singles record this season, including a 12-3 mark against ranked competition.

Tennessee graduate student and 31st-ranked Emile Hudd fell to No. 3 overall seed Arthur Fery of Stanford in straight sets, 4-6, 2-6. The matches began outdoors, but were completed on the indoor courts due to lightning in the area.
