Men's Tennis Headed to ASU Invitational Championships


TEMPE – Sun Devil men’s tennis (7-2) defeated UNLV 4-0 on Saturday night for the team’s fifth win a row. Arizona State will advance in the ASU Invitational, playing against UNLV at 2 p.m. MST at Kiwanis Tennis Center in Tempe, Sunday, Feb. 26. 

The Sun Devils came out hot in doubles as Murphy Cassone and Jacob Bullard pulled out a 6-2 win first before Max McKennon and Roi Ginat closed out their opponents 6-3.

McKennon continued his success on the court with a 6-3, 6-2 win over his singles opponent. Spencer Brachman filled the spot of Roi Ginat and dominated the UNLV player 6-4, 6-2 on court six. It was a nail biter between Nicola Cigna, Cassone, Bullard and Constantinos Koshis on who would complete the dual with the final singles point. 

Koshis ultimately closed out his Rebel in three sets (6-3, 4-6, 6-2) to earn the Sun Devil victory.
