Markham Ends NCAA Tournament Run in Round of 64


ORLANDO, Fla. – Senior Ava Markham of the Wisconsin women’s tennis team saw her NCAA Tournament run end in the round of 64 on Monday morning. Markham fell in straight sets to Stanford’s Alexandra Yepifanova, who was victorious with scores of 6-4, 6-3.

Markham, the first Badger to compete in the individual championships since 2016, finished her senior season with a 16-8 record in singles matches. Markham left her mark in the Wisconsin record books, earning three All-Big Ten selections and played at the No. 1 position the past three seasons.
