TULSA, Okla. – Cal men’s tennis junior Ryder Jackson lost in qualifying singles Tuesday to end his run at the ITA All-American Championships.
Jackson had been attempting to reach the singles main draw, which starts Wednesday. But the Golden Bear – who had won five consecutive matches through pre-qualifying and the first round of qualifying – fell to Cleeve Harper of Texas, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5, in the round of 64.
The Bears next compete in the ITA Northwest Regional Championships, which Cal hosts from Thursday through Sunday at the Hellman Tennis Complex.
