The Nebraska women’s tennis team will welcome Wichita State this week on Friday at 5 p.m. CT at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center. Live stream and stats will be available on Huskers.com. Updates will also be posted @HuskerWTennis on Twitter.

Scouting Wichita State

• The Shockers finished the 2021-2022 season with an overall record of 8-13, including a 0-0 conference record. 

• This is Colin Foster’s 14th year as head coach for Wichita State.

• The Shockers have a roster of three freshmen, one sophomore, one redshirt junior and three graduate students. 

• This is Joelle Kissell’s first year as assisstant coach for the Shockers. 

• Wichita State has a 1-4 overall record in away matches. 

Series History with Wichita State

• Nebraska has a 17-5 all-time record against the Shockers. 

• The last time Nebraska matched up against Wichita State was in 2022, and the Huskers won the match 6-1.

• The Huskers are ranked #49 in ITA Rankings. 

Samantha Alicea is on a six-match singles and a five-match doubles winning streak partnering with Raphaëlle Lacasse. Her performance garnered her the Big Ten Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week honor last week.
