Huskers To Wrap Up Regular Season Play

The No. 53 Nebraska women’s tennis team (13-9, 6-4 Big Ten) is set to face Iowa this weekend on Senior Day, as the Huskers wrap up regular season play.

Scouting Iowa

• The Hawkeyes finished the 2020-21 season with a 14-8 overall record, including a 12-4 record in Big 10 conference play.

• Sasha Schmid, a former student-athlete at Iowa, was named the head coach in 2016. 

• Iowa is currently 2-8 in conference play.

Series History with Iowa

• The Hawkeyes lead the overall series 8-7, with the Huskers winning two of the last four matchups between the teams.

• Maja Makoric and Kristina Novak have not lost as a doubles duo since January 29 against Duke. 

• The have played every match for the Huskers at the No. 1 spot and are currently 12-1 on the season.
