Four Wildcats Compete at Jack Kramer Tournament


TUCSON, Ariz. – Men’s Tennis closes out their fall season at the Jack Kramer tournament in Palos Verdes, Calif. Representing Arizona is Hiroki Sakagawa, Jared Horwood, Eric Padgham and Dominique Rolland. It will be the second appearance for Horwood and Sakagawa at the Southern California tournament and the first for freshmen Padgham and Rolland. 

Heading into their last round of fall matches, Rolland leads the four Cats in singles with an 8-2 record and Padgham leads in doubles with a record of 7-2. The Australian native carries a 5-3 singles record and Rolland shows 4-2 in doubles. Horwood has an even record of 2-2 in singles and 4-4 in doubles. Sakagawa carries a singles record of 3-2 and 5-1 in doubles play. 

In round one of doubles, Horwood/Sakagawa [3] take on Chikaya Sato and Johannes Seeman (SDSU) and Rolland/Padgham compete against Ray Lo and Luke Vandecasteele (Oregon) on Friday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. Singles draws have yet to be released for the men’s open.
