Forman Concludes Collegiate Career at NCAA Singles Championships

LAKE NONA, Fla. – Steven Forman’s prolific collegiate career came to a close with a 6-4, 6-3 defeat to Pedro Rodenas (Duke) in the NCAA Men’s Singles Championship Round of 64 at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida.

The berth marked Forman’s second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Singles field after advancing to the Second Round in 2022. Forman defeated Tyler Stice (Auburn) 7-6 (10-8), 7-5 before falling to No. 3 Adam Walton (Tennessee) 6-3, 6-2 in the Second Round last year.

Forman posted an 11-5 singles record in dual meets this season, highlighted by wins over No. 4 Garrett Johns (Duke), No. 11 Andrew Fenty (Michigan), and No. 41 Ozan Baris (Michigan State).

The graduate student from Troy, Michigan earned First Team All-Big Ten honors earlier this season, marking his second consecutive season being selected to the First Team, and fourth straight year with All-Big Ten recognition.

Northwestern wrapped up its team season earlier in May, advancing to the NCAA Tournament Second Round for the third consecutive year after defeating UCLA 4-2 in the NCAA First Round before falling 4-3 at No. 4 Kentucky.
