DURHAM – No. 11 Duke men’s tennis heads to Charlottesville, Va., on Saturday to face off against No. 5 Virginia at 1 p.m. in the NCAA Super Regionals at the Virginia Tennis Facility at Boar’s Head Resort.

The 12th-seeded Blue Devils and fifth-seeded Cavaliers are familiar foes, having already played twice this season. Virginia claimed both previous matchups, including a 4-1 win the ACC Championship title match on April 23.

Virginia will provide live stats and live video for the match with addition coverage on Cracked Racquets via its CrossCourt Cast coverage.  

TICKETS

Tickets for the NCAA Super Regional match are $5 for general admission and $3 for students with a valid ID per day (ages 2 and up are required to have a ticket). Tickets will be available for purchase online, over the phone, or at the Bryant Hall ticket office on the campus of the University of Virginia and can be picked up at the courts.

DUKE IN THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP

Playing in its 30th NCAA Team Championship in program history, the Blue Devils are eying their ninth appearance in the quarterfinal round and first since 2013. All-time at the national tournament, Duke holds a 50-29 ledger.

INSIDE LOOK AT THE BLUE DEVILS

Duke enters its super-regional match with a 22-6 overall ledger, including wins in 13 of its last 15 matches. The Blue Devils have been led by the 2023 ACC Coach and Rookie of the Year in Ramsey Smith and Pedro Rodenas (26-2), respectively. Duke also has unanimous First Team All-ACC selection Garrett Johns (14-10) in addition to junior Andrew Dale (15-2), sophomore Connor Krug (14-12), sophomore Jake Krug (10-6), and senior Andrew Zhang (13-8), who have all reached double-digit dual wins this year.  

The Blue Devils also have been strong in doubles play, recording 18 doubles victories, which has given them a massive advantage heading into singles action. Duke’s top doubles pairing in Johns and Rodenas (17-3), who earned an at-large NCAA Doubles Championship bid, currently hold a national ranking of No. 25.
