Dores Face Arkansas in Music City

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Commodores host the Razorbacks to kickoff SEC play on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Vanderbilt men’s tennis enters conference play 3-6 on the season, and the Dores are coming off a 4-1 loss to No. 13 Northwestern.

Surveying the Series
The Dores are 13-17 overall against Arkansas, 10-9 under coach Ian Duvenhage. Last year’s contest between the two saw Vandy top No. 57 Arkansas 5-2 in Fayetteville.  The last time Vandy beat Arkansas in Nashville was March 14, 2019, by a score of 4-3.

Scouting the Razorbacks
No. 31 Arkansas holds a 12-1 record. The Hogs come to Nashville after hosting Omaha on Sunday, when they earned a 5-2 victory. Arkansas’ only loss of the season came in the first round of ITA Kickoff Weekend against Northwestern.

Home Match Notes
Thursday’s match will be at the Lummis Family Tennis Center, and admission is free. Fans must enter through the 25th Avenue entrance and abide by the university’s clear bag policy.

Daddy’s Dogs will be set up at Thursday’s match. The first $500 worth of food for fans will be covered by Vanderbilt’s tennis program.  Alcohol will be available for purchase.

On Deck: Vanderbilt continues home play on Saturday with a doubleheader against South Carolina (11 a.m.) and Alabama A&M (3:30 p.m.).
