THIS WEEK: Washington State Tennis (8-4, 0-2) returns home to host the Mountain schools as Pac-12 Conference play resumes for the Cougars. WSU opens the weekend by hosting No. 44 Utah Friday, Mar. 15 at Noon, scheduled for the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts with coffee and donuts provided. The weekend comes to a close Sunday, when the Cougars host No. 51 Colorado at 11 a.m., also at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts. St. Patrick’s Day treats will be provided

SCOUTING UTAH: The Utes enter the match with a 9-3 overall record, 1-0 in Pac-12 play, to go with their No. 44 national ranking. Utah opened Pac-12 play last weekend by posting a 4-2 win over Oregon in Salt Lake City. Utah is riding a five-match winning streak heading into the weekend. Sophomore Marcela Lopez is the lone Utah player ranked at No. 75 in the most recent ranking. The all-time series with Utah is tied 11-11.
SCOUTING COLORADO: No. 51 Colorado enters the weekend with a 12-1 record, including a 1-0 conference mark after a 4-2 win over Oregon last weekend. The Buffs lone setback came at the hands of No. 2 Stanford early in the season as they have won their last 11 matches. The Cougars hold a 9-7 advantage in the all-time series.
LAST TIME OUT: The Cougars dropped a 5-2 decision at No. 11 USC. Senior Fifa Kumhom and sophomore Yura Nakagawa came away with singles wins for WSU.
NEXT UP: Following this weekend’s match, the Cougars take a break from Pac-12 play when they visit Cal State Northridge (Mar. 22) and Cal State Fullerton (Mar. 23).
