COLUMBUS, Ohio – This weekend, three members of the Ohio State women’s tennis team are competing in the Thunderbird Invitational hosted by Arizona State. The tournament runs Friday through Sunday in Tempe, Ariz.
Play is set to start with singles at 11 a.m. ET each day, followed by doubles about 1:30 p.m. ET. The days will wrap up with another round of singles. Live scoring is available HERE, with more tournament information HERE.
Day One (Friday, Nov. 4)
It was a clean sweep for the Buckeyes on the opening day of the tournament.
Danielle Willson and Madeline Atway paired up for a 6-2 doubles victory. In singles, Lucia Marzal won in straight sets, Atway prevailed by taking both sets in a tiebreaker and Willson posted a three-set victory.
