DURHAM – After being on the road for nearly a month, the 11th-ranked Duke women’s tennis team will return home to Durham to host a pair of ACC opponents this week.  The Blue Devils (11-2, 1-1 ACC) will host 14th-ranked Notre Dame (9-3, 1-1) on Friday, March 3 at 5 p.m., followed by Louisville (7-4, 0-2) on Sunday, March 5 at 11 a.m.  The matches are slated to be played outside in the Ambler Tennis Stadium, but if needed will be moved into the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.  

The Series with Notre Dame

Duke and Notre Dame will meet for the 29th time in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series by a 25-3 ledger.  In matches played in Durham, Duke holds an 8-0 record.  The Blue Devils own a 12-match winning streak in the series with the last loss coming in 2009 in Orlando, Fla. (5-2).

Scouting Notre Dame

Notre Dame owns a 9-3 overall and 1-1 ACC record on the season under head coach Alison Silverio.  The No. 14 ranked Irish opened ACC action this past weekend with a win at Clemson (4-1) and a loss at Georgia Tech (5-2).  

In the latest ITA rankings, Page Freeman (81) is listed in singles.  

The Series with Louisville

Duke and Louisville will meet for the 10th time in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 9-0.  In matches played in Durham, Duke holds a 5-0 record.  

Scouting Louisville

Louisville owns a 7-4 overall and 0-2 ACC record.  The Cardinals opened ACC play this past weekend with a pair of losses against Clemson (3-4) and Georgia Tech (7-0).  

What is Next?

Duke will next hit the road for a pair of ACC matches at Clemson (March 10) and at Georgia Tech (March 12).  The contest against the Tigers will open at 3 p.m., while the Yellow Jackets meeting will feature a first serve at 12 p.m.
