Big Green Outlast Boilers - Purdue Boilermakers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.- The Purdue men’s tennis team dropped their second match of the weekend in a Saturday slump against Dartmouth. The 2-5 decision came after the Big Green capitalized off of three tiebreak sets to clinch the victory.

The Big Green picked up the doubles point after sweeping No. 1 Michal Wozniak/Tomasz Dudek. The Boilers were able to climb back from a 1-4 deficit at No. 3, but Julen Morgan/Hassan Baroudi were unable to finish the match as they trailed 4-5 when the point was won.

While the Boilers couldn’t hold out for the win, several players put up competitive fights. Three players forced tiebreak sets, with Ali-Khan going on to win his match.

Ali-Khan’s efforts earned him his fourth win of the spring and his first career win at No. 3. The freshman continues to show his endurance with another win in three, improving his record to 3-2 when forcing a third set.
