Badgers complete day one of action at FAU Invite

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Wisconsin men’s tennis team opened the 2025 spring season with action at the FAU Invite in Boca Raton, Fla. The Badgers collected three individual victories in single play versus Mercer and tallied five doubles wins over Mercer and Army.
Edouard Aubert (No. 6 singles) and Sachiv Kumar (No. 8 singles) both collected victories in their collegiate debuts. Aubert toughed out a first-set tiebreaker against Mercer’s Shingo Masuda, 11-9 before winning set two, 6-3. Kumar cruised past Mercer’s Cameron Douthit, 6-1, 6-0.
In doubles play, the Badgers used a mix of lineups to claim a handful of wins over Mercer and Army. Matthew Fullerton and Oliver Olsson dominated their match at No. 2 doubles versus Army, winning 6-0. Badger freshmen Patrik Meszaros and Edouard Aubert topped their Mercer challengers at No. 3 doubles, 6-3.
The Badgers return to action tomorrow in Boca Raton, taking on FAU in doubles at 11:30 a.m. CT and in singles at 12:30 p.m.
