CLEMSON, S.C. – After competing in their first set of matches for the Tigers this past Saturday, freshmen Stewart Aronson and Marko Mesarovic have been named the Doubles Team of the week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
In the season opening doubleheader, the doubles duo of Aronson and Mesarovic helped Clemson clinch the doubles point against both Brown and The Citadel as the pairing were the first to finish in both matches.
Against Brown, Aronson and Mesarovic defeated Brown’s Alex Koong and Brian Chong 6-1, at the No. 3 doubles position for Clemson. Against The Citadel, the freshmen duo took down Teo Cariov and Ted Bagwell 6-0 as they did not allow the Bulldog pairing a single point in the match at the No. 2 doubles position.
Aronson and Mesarovic will be back in action on January 27 as they will head to Columbia, S.C. to compete in Kickoff Weekend hosted by in-state rival South Carolina.
