TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– Alabama head coach George Husack announced the addition of Sebastian Vile to the men’s tennis coaching staff Tuesday. Vile will serve as a graduate assistant coach as the Crimson Tide readies for the 2024 dual season.
“Excited to have Sebastian (Sebo) join our staff,” Husack said. “We recruited him as well as faced him in dual matches so we had a solid understanding of who he was and what he was all about. Sebo was a tenacious competitor at both Minnesota and Wisconsin, and has great character, focus and drive. He loves college tennis and wants to give all he has to the student-athletes that are experiencing something that he valued so much. He’s a great fit and I’m confident he will contribute immediately to our program.”
Vile joins the Tide after an impressive collegiate career at Wisconsin and Minnesota. The 2022 Big Ten singles runner-up, Vile led the Badgers in both singles and doubles throughout the 2022-23 campaign. He played two years with Wisconsin after battling alongside Minnesota for his first three collegiate seasons. Vile concluded his college career with 64 singles wins and 63 doubles victories.

- Paced the Badgers in both events during his final season with 18 singles victories and 19 doubles victories
- Also led the team in doubles during the 2022 campaign with 16 wins, in addition to reaching a season-high ITA ranking of No. 55
- Reached the finals in singles at the 2022 Big Ten Individual Championships
- Named the 2023 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient
- Prior to Wisconsin, competed three years with Minnesota
- ITA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten honoree
