Terrapins Lose to Penn State 5-2

Box Score COLLEGE PARK, MD- The No. 49 Maryland Terrapins lost to Penn State 5-2 on Sunday.

Penn State opened the match winning the No. 3 doubles match 6-3. 

In the No. 1 doubles match. Maria Budin and Minorka Miranda came back from a 1-4 deficit to win the match 7-5. 

In the deciding No. 2 doubles match, #69 Olivia Dorner and Karly Friedland of Penn State defeated Selma Cadar and Kallista Liu 7-6 (6) to clinch the doubles point and a 1-0 lead.

Following doubles Yvonne Zuffova took the No. 4 singles match to push Penn State ahead 2-0.

Minorka Miranda responded winning the No. 2 singles match 6-1, 7-5. Kallista Liu followed winning the No. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-4 to tie the match at 2-2.

Penn State then took the No. 1, No. 6 and No. 5 singles matches to clinch the 5-2 win.
