ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Penn State women’s tennis team fell 4-0 to No. 2 Michigan.
DOUBLES
The Michigan women’s tennis team grabbed the doubles point by taking wins on courts two and three.
Jordina Cegarra and Alina Lebedeva fell to Reese Miller and Bayley Sheinin, 6-3.
Olivia Dorner and Karly Friedland were able to grab a 6-3 doubles win against Jaedan Brown and Kari Miller.
Ultimately, Yvonne Zuffova and Sofiya Chekhlystova dropped their match, 7-6 (7-1), to Julia Fliegner and Gala Mesochoritou for Michigan to take the point.
SINGLES
The Blue and White dropped three matches for Michigan to clinch the match.
Sofiya Chekhlystova fell in her match to No. 5 Kari Miller, 6-2, 6-0. Yvonne Zuffova lost her match to No. 44 Gala Mesochoritou, 6-2, 6-2.
Jordina Cegarra dropped her match to No. 81 Jaedan Brown, 6-4, 6-1.
Olivia Dorner’s, Karly Friedland’s and Alina Lebedeva’s matches were left unfinished.
UP NEXT
The Nittany Lions will play two matches on the road against Purdue (March 23) and Indiana (March 24).
