A Billie Jean King Cup Finals debut can be a head-spinning experience for even experienced players.
Peyton Stearns flipped out in her maiden Billie Jean King Cup Finals experience.
Sabalenka: Very Disappointed with WTA
A three-time all-American at the University of Texas, Stearns made history as the first player in Texas history to win the NCAA singles title, which she captured in the spring of 2022. Stearns became the first woman since Nicole Gibbs in 2013 to win the NCAA singles and team titles in the same year.
Before devoting herself to tennis, Stearns was an accomplished junior gymnast and showed her acrobatic skills to her teammates.

“I grew up, I wasn’t a tennis player, I was a gymnast for the longest of time,” Stearns told the media in Seville, Spain, ahead of the United States’ opener vs. Switzerland. “I transitioned to tennis later than most.”
