BATON ROUGE, La. – Ole Miss women’s tennis finished their final day at the ITA South Region Championships. The Rebels saw two individuals and a doubles team make it to the singles and doubles bracket quarterfinals.
Ludmila Kareisvá and Ava Hrastar played individuals from LSU in the singles quarterfinals. Both players fought hard but ultimately fell in 6-3, 6-3 matches.
Later in the day, three Ole Miss doubles pairings competed in the round of 16. While two dropped close matches, Kelsey Mize and Emma Kette came out on top, 8-6, over South Alabama’s Nikola Novotna and Delien Kleinhans. Mize has advanced to the ITA Regional Doubles quarterfinals in three straight seasons.
Unfortunately, the duo would lose their quarterfinal match, ending the Rebels’ time at the ITA South Region Championships.
Ole Miss takes an almost two-week break before heading to Tuscaloosa for the Roberta Alison Invitational from October 27-29.
