Florida to Host 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association conducted the draft for the 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend on Wednesday afternoon and Florida will be hosting in Gainesville for the first time since 2019.
 
Joining the Gators will be the No. 2 seed Wake Forest, No. 3 seed San Diego and No. 4 seed FIU on Jan. 27-28, 2024 at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
 
The two winners of these matches will play the following day for a spot in the 2024 ITA Indoor Team Championships and the two losers will play in a consolation match.
 
The winner of Kickoff Weekend will then advance to the ITA Division I National Women’s Team Indoor Championship on Feb. 9-12, which is hosted at both the University of Washington and the Seattle Tennis Club.
 
Florida ended the season ranked No. 15 by the ITA and reached the round of 16 in the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive year. The Gators are set to return the entire starting singles lineup and signed Babolat’s No. 1 recruit in the 2023 class, Qavia Lopez.
