BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the third straight year, Mississippi State women’s tennis standout Emmanouela Antonaki was selected on the All-SEC Women’s Tennis Team released on Thursday.

After combining for 31 overall wins for the Bulldogs, Antonaki was named to the All-SEC second team.

Antonaki has received year end honors from the league before with her being named SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year earlier this season and earning All-SEC honors from 2019-2022 as well as All-Freshman in 2019.

Antonaki is currently ranked at 54th nationally in singles. She sits atop of the MSU record book with 96 career singles wins and 179 combined singles and doubles victories.

The graduate from Athens, Greece has accumulated five ranked wins during the season. Her highest ranked win came against Tennessee’s No. 21 Elza Tomase on April 15. Antonaki is 19-14 overall and 14-9 in dual match play.

Of Antonaki’s 14 dual match victories this spring, 13 of those came the No. 1 position. Her five ranked wins this season came during SEC play.

Antonaki hopes to continue her 2022-23 season at the NCAA Singles Championship in Urbana, Ill. next month. Draws will be announced on Tuesday, May 2.
