The Hokies came into this Sunday playing their third ranked matchup in as many matches. Tech claimed the first match in doubles with Tamara Barad Itzhaki and Semra Aksu winning 6-4, but werent able to capitalize losing the doubles point.
In singles, the Hokies fell behind 3-1 but began to dig themselves out of the hole with Erika Cheng’s 6-0, 6-3, win on Court 5. The victory marks her ninth straight win to rennin undefeated on the season. Aksu carried her impressive play from last weekend to Weymouth, Mass., battling to a three set victory, 7-5, 1-6, 6-3. Dariya Radulova closed the match with a win in the 10-point tiebreak, 7-5, 3-6, 1-0.
